Installation of the system

Synthetic greens - DiagramHome Country Club backyard greens are constructed of a compacted crushed rock sub base material which provides contours and undulations.

We use an advanced UV-treated synthetic fiber "turf carpet," and like natural greens, a specially processed "top dressing" sand -- the key component which gives the ball a natural roll and absorption on chip shots.

Home Country Club uses a rounded quartz infill which allows the green to hold the ball on longer shots, and helps to lessen compaction over time.

We also provide non-sand-filled golf greens for many outdoor and indoor applications.

Putting Greens FAQ

Why wouldn't I just install a natural grass green?

Maintenance and cost. The amount of time, effort and money you would put into a natural grass green can mount up very quickly. Check with the superintendent at your local golf course, and he'll agree.

With a Home Country Club synthetic green you will have:

  • No Watering
  • No Mowing
  • No Chemical Applications
  • No Aerating
  • No Hard work

How do you customize your greens?

The customers' choices are unlimited when it comes to size and shape of a HCC green. We can design contours, breaks, and undulations as you wish. We create those when we install the gravel sub base. You may also choose the speed of your green, which depends on the amount of rolling and brooming at the end of the process.

How is performance of a Home Country Club green compared to a natural grass green?

A Home Country Club green rolls, bounces and holds shots just like a real grass green. Our rounded quartz infill provides porosity, which is important in maintaining superior and consistent playability.

What is the life span of a Home Country Club green?

The UV polypropylene fibers are designed to resist the harmful effects of sun, rain, snow, and ice. The greens can last 15 years or more depending on usage and proper maintenance.

What about drainage?

We prepare your site to create positive drainage. Water drains over the top of the green.

How long does it take for you to install one?

Most greens can be completely installed in two to three days.

Once I have a Home Country Club green installed, what maintenance is required?

Very little. Simply blowing off any debris, occasionally rolling, and an annual evaluation of top dressing will maintain a superior putting surface.
